A Whimsical Barefoot Celebration at Lyons Farmette Wedding Venue

Weddings at the Lyons Farmette always have a grounded, quiet magic to them. Tucked along the St. Vrain River in Lyons, Colorado, the property naturally encourages couples to slow down, kick off their shoes, and focus on the experience rather than a rigid schedule.
When Maura and Tim planned their day, they stripped away traditional wedding expectations. There was no formal bridal party lineup and no long, drawn-out list of family posed shots. Instead, the focus stayed entirely on intimacy, presence, and celebrating surrounded by the farm's lush summer blooms.
Here is a look inside their day at the Farmette.
A Barefoot Bride & Hand-Picked Flowers
Maura was barefoot and beautiful frolicking around the venue.
Rather than having pre-arranged floral installations brought in, the morning was spent harvesting fresh stems directly from the Lyons Farmette flower farm. Assembling their own bouquets straight from the field added a hands-on, personal detail that set the tone for the entire evening.
Focusing on Moments Over Formalities
Ditching a traditional photo list gave Maura and Tim space to actually breathe and enjoy every part of their wedding. Without the rush to get through dozens of formal group portraits, we focused entirely on documentation, capturing the day as it naturally happened:
