Modern Greenhouse Wedding Venue in Colorado Springs – Kingship Landing

If you're planning a wedding in Colorado Springs and want a space that feels fresh, modern, and full of light, Kingship Landing should definitely be on your list. This venue blends greenhouse-style architecture with clean industrial details and tons of greenery. Think hanging plants, big windows, exposed beams, and warm wood throughout—basically a dream backdrop for couples who love a natural vibe but still want something elevated.
A Unique Spot for a Relaxed, Stylish Wedding
Kingship Landing has this amazing way of feeling both chill and elegant at the same time. The space is full of natural light thanks to floor-to-ceiling windows and skylights, and the mix of textures gives it a cozy but modern look. You really don’t need much decor here—the plants and architecture do most of the work.
The couple I photographed here kept it minimal, which worked perfectly with the venue’s clean lines. They shared private vows just outside the building, with big potted palms and the venue’s bold design as their backdrop. We also snuck out for portraits downtown, just a few blocks away—Colorado Springs has some amazing mural walls and hidden corners for cool urban photos.

What Makes Kingship Landing Stand Out
That Indoor-Outdoor FeelEven though the reception is inside, all the plants and glass make it feel like you're in a greenhouse. You get that outdoor vibe without having to worry about the weather.
Central Downtown LocationIt’s close to hotels, great photo spots, and easy for guests to get to. That’s a win all around.
Built-In StyleBetween the wood accents, white chairs, long tables and industrial touches, you can keep things simple and still have the space look amazing in photos.
Totally Customizable SetupWhether you’re doing a full dinner, cocktail-style reception or something in between, the open layout makes it easy to make it your own.
Kingship Landing Reception Tips – Things You’ll Actually Use
Here are a few real tips for making the most of your reception at Kingship Landing:
Stick with the venue’s tables and chairsThey’re clean, modern and photograph beautifully. Save your rental budget for floral runners or statement pieces instead.
Bring in extra lighting after darkNatural light floods in during the day, but it can get a little dim at night. Uplights, string lights or even candles can keep things warm and cozy once the sun goes down.
Work with a DJ or sound tech who knows echoey spacesThe venue has high ceilings and concrete floors, which means sound can bounce. A pro will know how to manage it so speeches and music sound great.
Don’t overdecorateTrust the space—it doesn’t need much. A little greenery, simple signage and candles go a long way here.
Ceremony at Garden of the Gods, Reception at Kingship Landing
This couple had their ceremony with 45 guests at Garden of the Gods, then hosted their reception at Kingship Landing. It was the perfect mix of Colorado nature and downtown style.
If you're thinking of a similar setup, here are a few tips:
Apply for your permit early: Garden of the Gods requires a permit, even for small ceremonies. Popular spots book out quickly, so plan ahead.
Wear the right shoes: The ceremony locations often involve walking on uneven ground. Heels are great for the reception, but bring something comfortable for the park.
Pad your timeline: Build in extra time between ceremony and reception (45 minutes or more) for travel and photos.
Consider guest transport: Parking is tight at Garden of the Gods. A shuttle or carpool setup makes life easier, especially if you have out-of-towners.
Don’t forget water and SPF: That Colorado sun hits hard, even in the cooler months. Stay hydrated and protect your skin—especially before photos.
