There’s just something about summer evenings in Golden, Colorado that brings out the magic. This extended family session just flowed. Everyone was relaxed, the light was perfect, and they showed up ready to have fun. The grandparents came too, which always makes things feel extra meaningful ( and easier for everyone) We got some sweet shots of them with the grandkids that I know will be treasured for years as well a few of just the two of them.

We met up at one of my favorite photography locations near Denver, right in Golden. It’s only 15 minutes from the city but feels like a total escape. With a mix of open fields, foothills, old buildings, and views of the Table Mountains, it's ideal for families who want beautiful scenery without needing to hike far. This photospot is literally right off the parking lot, which makes it perfect location for family photos with grandparents who might not be physically mobile.

I love this spot for family photos in Golden, Colorado, because it allows kids to explore freely and interact naturally in a small space, which is the whole heart of my sessions which is documentary-style photography. These aren't stiff, posed images. These are real moments. Of course I will still get a few classic shots as well, because why not!
